I was rather skeptical of going for rep with this fraction. Considering you had to be 300 riding before being able to do the rep grinding quests, and thats alot of gold to grind. Then you spend 200 g after the quest is done to get your mount. But a few days ago a friend from Cenarion Circle Raid Syndicate ask for some help on part of the chain that would get you to neutral with Netherwing. Having already done Kindness (from Mordenai in the Netherwing fields) and worked all the way up to To Netherwing Ledge!. I just needed some help collected vines. Unfortunately this quest got a little rougher with the last patch as the roaming dragonkin are now elites (and perhaps too tough for 2 people alone. However it appears that The Force of the Neltharaku has been made easier as the dragons no longer storm out of the camp but fly away once you’re out of combat. Gold as always is a great incentive, and a new caster off hand is always nice.
After finishing this chain you can now do the quests to help free the Netherwing Dragons from their captures the Dragonmaw Orcs as a sabatour.
You start out looking like a butt ugly orc (no not orb of deception mc hammer dancing orc) with three daily quests. With one quest to get a dragon egg, at first you get 350 rep and 11.99 gold. After which it becomes a repeatable quest at 250 rep per turn in. Yesterday I got 10 eggs. Eggs can be found any where, mining, herb collecting, killing things to loot, slime covered items, and on the ground in plain view.
Leveling reputation is not hard, and the gold is rather nice. So far at honored I have 7 daily quests netting me easily over 100 gold. That’s not considering the fire, earth, mana, air, and life motes from the collecting and peon killing missions. For the peon killing quest I have been farming the ray’s behind Dragonmaw fortress. They drop mana motes as well(close to 2 primals); the air elementals that share that area give me atleast one primal air for every 12 fel glands I collect (and so far enough vendor loot for 8 – 15 g). I must warn you though the respawn is a little faster then most places so you want to be on your toes. Not a lot of places to recover health and mana. Fire and earth come from the gathering quests.
I did not realize at first that with the bootarang quest that you could do this from the safety of your flying mount.
Eggs can be found any where, mining, herb collecting, killing things to loot, slime covered items, and on the ground in plain view. Perhaps even with skinning.
At this point I think I am at most 10 days away from getting a new mount.
I recommend you go with lots of bag space for all of the vendor loot you will get alont the way. Over all I would say 16 – 30 g alone on crap drops.
